One of the best ways to look after your health is to catch possible problems early. Knowing whether you're at risk of having certain conditions means you can take positive steps to improve your health.
This is the best age to spot early signs of health problems such as heart disease, diabetes, kidney disease or stroke. By finding out whether you are at risk of developing these conditions, you can make positive changes to address problems before they take hold.
If you fall into this age range, have not had an NHS Health Check in the last 5 years, and don't already have one of these conditions, you are eligible for an NHS Health Check.
The Health Check takes no more than 30 minutes and can be done at a location of your choice. You'll have your height, weight, blood pressure and cholesterol measured, and be asked some simple questions about your health and lifestyle. Then, you'll be given personalised advice about how to reduce your risk of developing health problems.
